Fleet Week Houston
Houston is set to host its first-ever Fleet Week, a public event dedicated to honoring the service members of the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. The celebration will take place near City Choice Homes from April 15th to April 22nd.
This tradition has a rich history, dating back to 1935, when a fleet of ships gathered in San Diego during the California Pacific International Exposition. What once was a simple ship display and demonstration has now grown to a nation wide tradition, allowing different major US cities to host their own unique events for the week.
Houston's Fleet Week will hold multiple events across the area, including a public opportunity to board and tour multiple ships like the USS Cooperstown.
Join in on the fun at Sip & Salute at Spindletap Brewery on April 17th to honor Senior Level non-commissioned officers for an afternoon of craft beer, delicious food and yard games like pickleball. If you enjoy barbeque from some of Houston's finest pit-masters, then save the date for the East End Block party on Navigation Blvd. for a traditional backyard barbeque and live music on April 18th.
Join in on making history as Houston celebrates our dedicated service members.
